The central part of the park proudly brags to visitors with its magnificent buildings and palaces dating back to the Rattanakosin period. Dusit Maha Prasat Palace is the most famous castle (Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand). Going a little to the North are the solemn retreats of Wat Phra Si Sanphet from Ayutthaya period, Prang Sam Yot Pagoda from Lopburi period and many other temples from many ancient periods.

Famous buildings of the Kingdom of Ayutthaya are also located here. It is the Sanphet Prasat palace. Unfortunately, this building was destroyed during the invasion of Burmese Ayutthaya in 1767. This palace was rebuilt in the old city of Muang Boran based on records and diagrams of ancient Thai times.

The cutest highlight of Ancient City is the floating market village on the river with countless boats and bustling shops. On days when there are many visitors or the market session, the boats are busy and lively. People also reproduce even the longboats with sharp bend tips, drifting peacefully on the rivers, these are boats that once used to carry kings, queens, and princesses whenever the royal family appeared for the people to admire. On weekends, Thai students often go on a picnic here, first to learn the history of the country, then to play a group game outdoors. This is a very useful form of course.
