Budapest - Eastern European city where you should visit once

Once chosen as the backdrop of many world-famous blockbusters, Budapest deserves to be one of the most beautiful cities in Eastern Europe both in the past and present.

Speaking of Budapest can not ignore the Chain bridge

The image of the world-famous Chain bridge is recorded by the author on a both rainy and sunny day. Those who arrive in Budapest often have to come here to check-in and watch the Danube at least once.
This bridge is the oldest in Budapest, the official name is Szechenyi Lanchid, also the name of the earl who paid for the construction, but the Hungarians often refer to the oral name as Chain Bridge. From the past until now, this bridge has been honored as a symbol of Hungary. The Chain Bridge was built between 1840 and 1849, designed by an English architect. The work impressed by 4 stone lions with majestic mane located on both ends of the bridge. On weekends or festivals, the bridge is only for pedestrians and is the place for many cultural activities and fun activities.

Margaret and Elisaberth Bridges

If you do not go to the banks of the river or take a cruise on the Danube for sightseeing, not yet called to Hungary. In addition to the Chain Bridge, there are many other bridges such as Margaret Bridge and Elisaberth Bridge. Margaret Bridge is the 2nd oldest, after the chain Bridge.
This bridge connects Jaszai Mari square on the bank of Buda and Pest near the Hungarian Parliament building, with typical French neo-Baroque style architecture. Elisabeth Bridge is white, striking, and elegant. Originally, the Elisaberth Bridge was a fairly large iron suspension bridge.
Because of its weight, after the devastation of World War II, although a series of devastating bridges across the Danube river in the capital of Budapest was restored, Elisaberth Bridge could not be saved but only a way to build a new one. From 1960 to 1964, after nearly two decades of destruction, Elisaberth Bridge was completely rebuilt with simple, modern but equally attractive architectural features.

Excursions on the Danube

The winding Danube river bisects the Hungarian capital into two parts. The right bank of the river is the Buda part, situated on a hill with a beautiful castle in a peaceful space. With a length of 2,850 km, the Danube is Europe's second longest river, after the Volga. Danube bends through many cities of 9 countries including Vienna (Austria), Brastilava (Slovakia), Belgrade (Serbia) ... Go to Budapest, tourists can travel on ships. Standing on the deck, you can clearly see the bridges and the National Assembly building right on the bank of the river as beautiful as the fairy castle with over 100 years old.

Everything about Budapest brings a mix of luxurious nobility in the past with the order of communism decades ago and the excitement of today's market economy. Budapest is not only the financial center of Hungary but also one of the global cities, besides other big cities such as Washington, Melbourn, Stockholm ... according to the ranking of GaWC (Globalization and World Cities Research Network).
Not only outstanding in the level of scientific and technological development, Budapest is also famous for the beauty of architectural works and natural landscapes. From May to September is the best time to visit Budapest, not only because of the weather suitable for outdoor activities but also because this is the best time to watch the sunset on the banks of the Danube.

Heroes Square

Hero Square is one of the main squares in Budapest, located at the end of the exit of Andrássy Boulevard, next to the City Park (Városliget). On the top of the columns are statues representing the following aspects: War (man riding a horse cart, using a Snake instead of a whip), Peace (a woman holding a palm leaf), Labor - Prosperity ( the man is holding the scythe, the woman is sowing the seeds), Knowledge - Glory (the man is holding the statue, the woman is holding the palm leaf).
Heroes Square is the place to mark the heroic history of Hungary, for those who want to see the beauty of "Pearl of Central Europe". The square has played an important part in history and hosts many of the country's annual political events.
