9/7 Avenue in Argentina is said to be the largest road in the world with 14 main lanes, 6 sidewalks and rows of shady tall green trees.

Named in honor of Argentina's National Day (July 9, 1816), 9/7 (9 de Julio) Avenue runs about 1 km west of Rio de la Plata harbor, from the northern district of Retiro to the south of Constitucion station, located in the heart of the port city, capital of Buenos Aires. Photo: Studio New-Art.

The act of crossing the street on 9/7 boulevard is considered reckless because of the density of vehicles joining the traffic here. In the boulevard center, the Avenida de Mayo intersection is one of Buenos Aires's most famous landmarks.
