Most houses in Huang Longxi originated at the end of the Qing Dynasty, some from the Ming Dynasty. The pile house of riverside previously in the town were built to prevent flooding. In which, the ground floor is for raising cattle, the second floor is where to store food and the third floor is the residence of people.
