Time Square - The top tourism destion in US

Like the Red Square in Moscow, the Champs-Elysées in Paris or the Tiananmen Square in Beijing, Times Square became an urban symbol of New York City. Times Square is lively and characteristic thanks to almost the illumination of advertising signs.

Times Square is a major intersection in Manhattan, connecting Broadway Avenue and Seventh Avenue, extending from 42 West to 47 West Street, New York. Times Square consists of blocks of house between Sixth Avenue and Nine Avenue, from east to west; between 39th Street West and 52rd Street West, from south to north; forming the western part of the Midtown Manhattan commercial area.

This square was named after the New York Times newspaper since 1904 when the newspaper's office moved to this area before the square was named Longacre Square. Over a few dozen cafés, small theaters and studios of MTV created the face of this square and were chosen to be the outdoor scene for many plastic films. The square is also famous for its Broadway theater area with about 40 major theaters between Road 41 and Road 53 and between Sixth Avenue and Ninth Avenue.

Like the Red Square in Moscow, the Champs-Elysées in Paris or the Tiananmen Square in Beijing, Times Square became an urban symbol of New York City. Times Square is lively and characteristic thanks to almost the illumination of advertising signs.

Times Square is also a place where people welcome the new year every year. Usually, they line up on the last days of the year to see the Square sphere falling from a height of 40m, pray and welcome the new year.
