Paragliding festival to watch the Mu Cang Chai golden season

"Flying on the golden season" is the theme of the paragliding festival to be held at Khau Pha Pass, Mu Cang Chai District from September 20 to 22.

Mr. Vu Tuan Dung, the representative of the organizers, said that about 150 domestic and foreign pilots will attend the festival. The outstanding activity at "Flying on the golden season 2019" is that visitors can participate in costume festivals and interact with pilots.

Mr. Dung also said that the number of visitors registered to participate in this year's paragliding experience increased sharply, from 150 people last year to 500. With each flight with the pilot for about 10 to 30 minutes (depending on the weather conditions).

In parallel with paragliding activities, discovering the beauty of terraced fields from above, visitors have the opportunity to see the display of the pan-pipe of the Hmong guided by artisans in the area; display, introduce books, pictures, photos; local specialties like dried pork, ordinary rice ...

The Mu Cang Chai Paragliding Festival first took place in 2013 and became an annual event organized by the VietWings Hanoi Paragliding Club. After 6 years, "Flying on the golden season" has become one of the vibrant tourism - cultural - sports activities, not only for Mu Cang Chai district but also for Yen Bai province.

Nearly 300 km from Hanoi to the Northwest, Mu Cang Chai is a favorite destination for many tourists, especially when the rice season is ripe or the water season is pouring. Khau Pha Pass, where the paragliding activity takes place, is also known as one of the "four great pass peaks" in Vietnam. From this flight point, pilots and visitors can enjoy the panoramic view of the valley of Lom Mong during the ripe rice season.
