About 6 km from the city center, Linh Phuoc Pagoda is located in Ward 11, Da Lat, Lam Dong. Linh Phuoc Pagoda was started construction in 1949 by the local Buddhists. The center of the pagoda is a 33 m long, 12 m wide hall with elaborate architecture. The most prominent are two rows of dragon pillars along the two sides of the main hall, the reliefs introducing the history of Shakyamuni Buddha and the classic references in the Buddhist sutras and Amitabha Sutras. Located in the precinct of Linh Phuoc Pagoda, the 7-storey tower has a height of 36 m, is considered the tallest bell tower in Vietnam. On the 2nd floor, the largest bell in Vietnam possesses a height of 4.3 m, weighing 8.5 tons. The bell mouth is 2.33 m wide. Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara statue is on the left of the 7-storey tower, with a height of 17 m, weighing about 3 tons. The highlight of this statue is made of 650,000 immortal flowers, a typical flower of Dalat. The work was completed by meticulous hands of hundreds of local Buddhists in 36 days.
