Despite his advanced age, Mirtha Munoz still competes. The sudden death of her son urged her to continue cycling to overcome the pain. The Skyrace race on a 60km long mountain climbing route is a passion that Munoz nurtured for many years.

To get ready for the race, Ms. Munoz is constantly training, exercising, swimming and jogging every day. She also upgraded, stored and treasured the honors, noble medals achieved after each Skyrace race.

Munoz is also one of the founders of this challenging bike race. She shared that Skyrace is like a stage that makes people fascinated and enjoy the process of conquest. In addition, in daily life, the veteran female racer often rides with her 6 grandchildren. She also hopes the oldest grandchild (nearly 18 years old) will join Skyrace soon.
