Visitors to Dat Mui can experience going through a monkey bridge to explore the mangrove ecosystem. Every year this place encroaches on the sea due to alluvial activity. The two common plants here are avicennia and mangrove. Avicennia usually grows on mudflats, roots grow upside down to hold the soil, followed by mangroves and other mangrove family trees such as Aegiceras corniculatum and Bruguiera. That is why Ca Mau is such a place where "the land grows, the forests walk and the sea thrives".
