Natural beauty atop Bach Ma mountain

On the 20 km long road leading to the summit of Bach Ma, visitors seem to be surfing on the fairy scene created by mountains, forests, streams, and clouds.

A winding road leads the way to Bach Ma mountain. This attraction belongs to Bach Ma National Park, more than 40 km from Hue city.

After buying the ticket, tourists rent a car from the gate of the national park to Hai Vong Dai, the highest point on the summit of Bach Ma with a distance of about 20 km.
When ascending, the mountains and forests appear more and more. Bach Ma is the only strip of primeval forest of Vietnam connecting from the sea to the Vietnam - Laos border. There are also deserted villas, which used to be resorts for French officers and the upper-class of Hue.
A group of foreign tourists stops at the cloud hunting area of Hai Vong Dai. Here, visitors can zoom in to see the natural scenery of Bach Ma, such as Lang Co Bay or Truoi Lake.

In the rainy season (September - December), the trail to the mountain is quite slippery, so visitors should pay careful attention, it is imperative to follow the instructions of experienced guides.

Bach Ma National Park has a total area of about 37,500 ha, possessing diverse landscapes including mountains, forests, waterfalls, streams, and more than 2,300 plant species and 1,700 animal species. The forest still has many rare and precious plants and animals that need to be protected such as red-shanked douc langur, Pseudoryx nghetinhensis, white pheasant, Fokienia hodginsii or Agarwood.
Leaving Hai Vong Dai, visitors go about 5 km of the forest road to Ngu Ho, where the cool and clear water of 5 large and small lakes are connected.

When coming to Bach Ma, you can choose another attraction is Do Quyen waterfall 30 m high, about an hour from Ngu Ho area.
If you have the opportunity to experience Bach Ma in March and April, visitors see the three-lobed maple trees turn red, creating a beautiful landscape for the national park.

Naturally grown maple trees, aged over 100 years, are located on the grounds of ancient French architectural villas.
