1. Lusail Stadium

This July, it was announced that Lusail Stadium will host the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ on December 18, 2022! With a capacity of 80,000 people, its futuristic shape and facade "echo the intricate decorative motifs on bowls, vessels, and art pieces used in the Middle East for centuries." The stadium's iconic design is "inspired by the interplay of light and shadow that characterizes the fanar lantern."

According to the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, after the FIFA World Cup, the stadium will be transformed into a multi-purpose community space where residents can find everything they need under one roof. Most of the stadium seats will be donated to sporting projects around the globe.

2. Marina Twin Towers

These colorful twin towers look like something out of a mobile game, where the player has to stack building blocks to build a tower as high as they can. More often than not, the stacked up blocks end up misaligned. The only difference is that this building actually exists in real life and is located in the Marina District of Lusail City. The Towers are luxury office space buildings with a view of The Pearl to the southeast. The Marina Twin Towers have 33 floors and it was completed in 2016.

3. Katara Towers

Opening in 2021, Katara Towers is set to become the future hospitality landmark in the modern and smart city of Lusail. From afar it looks like a crescent but its design is actually inspired by the crossed swords emblem of Qatar. Its 36-story twin arched towers will house not only a luxurious five-star hotel, but also the first six-star hotel in Qatar! The iconic structure will also include branded residences and a mix of recreational, dining and entertainment facilities.

4. Place Vendôme

Inspired and named after the historical square in Paris, Place Vendôme aims to bring the luxury and extravagance of the high-end shopping and hotel street in France to Qatar. The 1,000,000m² development is set to become the new center of attraction, not only for residents but also for regional and international visitors. It will host two five-star luxury hotels, a canal running through it directly from the sea, a mall with up to 600 different retail outlets, and a central entertainment area. It's also scheduled to open in 2021.

5. Waterfront Hotel and Apartments

Previously dubbed as 'Cubes Tower', Waterfront Hotel and Apartments is a luxury 22-floor residential building with an interesting facade. As you can see from the photo, squares and rectangles seem to come out of the building. It's also aptly named because its apartments have awe-inspiring views of the Gulf and Lusail City. You can choose from single to three bedrooms and of course, the 5-bedroom duplex penthouse apartments! The property also has direct access to the beach and has a pool on-site.
