Qatar rushes to complete 100 hotels to welcome the 2022 FIFA World Cup

To welcome teams and fans around the world, the host country of the FIFA World Cup 2022 - Qatar will open more than 100 hotels and apartments, with the presence of many big brands.

Among the 5-star hotels that are about to open in Qatar, there are big brands such as Pullman Doha West Bay, JW Marriott West Bay, Steigenberger Hotel. About 105 hotels and serviced apartments are expected to be added before the 2022 FIFA World Cup, adding to the existing portfolio of more than 180 hotels and about 32,000 rooms in the Middle Eastern country.

The increase in the number of high-class hotels is expected to make Qatar an attractive destination, attracting a large number of international tourists not only during the 2022 FIFA World Cup but also in the years to come. This is part of the Qatar National Vision 2030 plan, which aims to position Qatar as a top destination in the world.

Akbar Al Baker, Secretary General of the National Tourism Council of Qatar, said: “We are expanding our tourism services to ensure that our guests are treated with the best possible treatment in Qatar, enabling them to choose hotels, resorts or serviced apartments to suit every budget and need. These upcoming projects are part of our strategy to diversify services and enhance visitor appeal."
