The 1920s ushered in the exciting and romantic decade of human travel. Railroads in the US are expanded and travelers are encouraged to board trains to visit out-of-state destinations. For the first time, middle-class families can buy luxury cars to travel on their own. Luxury trains also help the tourism industry in Europe thrive.
Airplanes appeared on the mainstream tourist market in the 1930s. At this time, traveling by plane was still only for the elite and business people. The cabins on the plane are designed with luxurious seats and interiors like in a living room. This decade, humans also witnessed the first commercial transatlantic flights.
The heyday of long-distance travel was in the 1940s and 1950s. Convertibles to family cars were increasingly developed to cater for long trips for the whole family. The development of cars is also the time when the highway system throughout the United States is improved, helping people travel more smoothly.

By the 1980s, it was clear that long-distance travel by plane had become commonplace. While in the previous stage, there is still a part of people who think that being a passenger on flights can be risky and quite a luxury.
In the 1990s and 2000s, cars were easily seen around the world. Not only accompanying traveling believers, cars are associated with people going to work in the US and developed countries.
Air travel has grown tremendously and has become popular since the 2010s. Major airlines offer lavish, luxurious first-class cabins. Luxury travelers don't need to use their private jets anymore, but can experience their own style aboard the airline's special cabins.
In the 2020s, people are still going through many changes that make it difficult to shape the transportation situation during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The beginning of this decade can be marked by space travel. Billionaire Elon Musk is building a rocket with an adventure plan to go to Mars. The world's first space hotel is also expected to open in 2027.
