An artist from Da Lat depicts the beauty of his hometown, famous for its misty landscapes and green pine forests, through watercolor paintings.

Graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in 2017, Nguyen Thanh Sang, 29, has a strong passion for watercolor painting and has spent much time depicting the green and poetic beauty of Da Lat.
Langbiang mountain peak is shrouded in mist.
Located around 12 kilometers to the north of downtown Da Lat, Langbiang Plateau was popularized by French biologist Alexandre Yersin in 1893. Lying 1,400 meters above sea level, the plateau is surrounded by high mountains, green pine forests and fresh air, making it an ideal habitat for rare birds.
He always wakes up at 3 a.m., rides a motorbike to the foot of the mountain and then walks to the top by nearly 5 a.m.
Up to now, he has painted about 100 works about people and nature in this highland town.
From Cu Hill, he zooms in to draw houses and trees in the mist with a view of the French-built College of Education.

The station was built by French architects in 1932. When it opened in 1938, the station was part of the Thap Cham – Da Lat railway line, running from the former coastal Champa Kingdom in Ninh Thuan to Da Lat.
Sang also captures the beauty of hydrangea flowers, a symbol of Da Lat.
