How to See a Free Hula Show on Maui

Hula is the heart and soul of Hawaii. Deeply rooted in Hawaiian history, hula began as a method for telling and preserving stories before a written language existed. Through this beautiful art form, ancestors of Hawaii could share their stories and connect with their land. Today, Hula has evolved into a universal symbol representative of Hawaiian culture. Find out how you can experience it when you attend a free hula show on Maui!

Experience the Heart of Hawaii at a Free Hula Show on Maui

Join the Aloha Spirit

Six nights a week, our friends at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel host a free hula show on Maui. This fun, free entertainment starts at 6 p.m. and is the perfect way to spend a night with the family during your vacation. While you’re there, grab dinner at the walk-up tiki grill or a tropical drink at the outdoor beach bar. If you’re in the mood to sit down and relax for awhile, you can dine at the open-air Tiki Terrace restaurant. We know you’ll have a fun evening creating memories with your family, and we look forward to seeing you back at the Old Wailuku Inn!

Another great place to catch a free hula show on Maui is at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center. Every Monday at 10:30 a.m., Te Tiare Patitifa, a local hula school, performs a hula show on the center stage of the mall. The show is a perfect representation of the Aloha Spirit and is just a short drive from the Old Wailuku Inn. Between hula shows, farmers markets, and live concerts, there’s always something going on at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center. Visit their website to learn about all current events.
